As the economic development agency of the city of Jena, JenaWirtschaft supports companies on their path to sustainable business and helps them transform into climate-friendly business models.
Our consulting services for companies
- Referral advice on energy efficiency and sustainability: We help companies to take the first steps towards climate-friendly processes and technologies and point out local contact points.
- Arranging specialist networks and technology partners: Whether it’s the heat transition, hydrogen or resource efficiency – we bring you together with the right experts and partners from business, science and administration.
- Referral advice on funding programmes and projects: We provide support in the search for suitable funding programmes and put you in touch with experts, e.g. at ThEGA or Stadtwerke Jena.
- Information about urban planning and infrastructure projects: Companies gain an early insight into relevant projects such as municipal heating planning or the switch to hydrogen – for strategic location decisions.
Subsidies
JenaWirtschaft offers referral advice on suitable funding programmes in the areas of energy efficiency, renewable energies and sustainable transformation. The most important partner institution here is the Thuringian Energy and GreenTech Agency (ThEGA), which provides companies in Thuringia with independent advice on energy and climate issues and arranges access to funding at state, federal and EU level.
Strategy and networking
JenaWirtschaft is actively involved in projects that strengthen Jena as a centre for energy and sustainability – together with the city administration, municipal utilities, research and business.
- Municipal heat planning Jena: We bring the perspective of the economy into the planning of a climate-neutral heat supply – in co-operation with the city of Jena and Stadtwerke Jena Netze.
- Hydrogen strategy and gas network transformation: Together with Stadtwerke Jena, we inform companies about the opportunities and requirements of hydrogen utilisation and provide impetus for the industrial transformation.
- ANIKA project – waste heat utilisation from the sewage treatment plant: JenaWirtschaft informs companies about opportunities to participate in innovative heating projects such as ANIKA and provides support with site integration.
- Exchange formats and network meetings: We promote the continuous transfer of knowledge between local companies, research institutions and utilities in the field of green energy.
